Antonina Shevchenko is Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter and mixed martial artist competing in the flyweight division in the UFC. She is the sister of another fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sporting career as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and beat Suzane Miller in the finals with a unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko won her second gold medal in 2007 winning a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in 2011 and won the title of 2015 IFMA World Amateur Muay Thak Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012, she took home an event called the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she took home the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas for her last fight in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was victorious by the unanimous verdict. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut was made in 2002, in the KFK cup of Kyrgystan during which she took on Anara Bayanova. She took victory through TKO at the end of second round. She then she went on to win two more fights in the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her three wins in her MMA career. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities during the clinch, using the body with knees. Antonina's UFC contract was extended following this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight after winning the first fight with a unanimous verdict. Antonina bounced back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round at UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned the extra fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn Cookagian, and defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Then, Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill at UFC Fight Night Santos against. Walker via second-round TKO.
