Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's debut female singer with Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The label debuted her first album titled Pho in the month of October of 2016 when she began to get recognition. Shea Butter Baby her debut studio release was May 7th 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet in 2012 when she released her debut mixtape called Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. In 2014, Ari Lennox dropped her single Bound, as well as her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. The song was included in Omen's Elephant Eyes, in Sweat It Out on the 21st of July in 2015. J. Cole had her sing her songs to the Dreamville Team in the following year, as he wanted Rihanna to collaborate with her on some references. Then, in December of 2008 it was announced that Rihanna had been signed by Dreamville Records. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the song Backseat along with Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016 her debut EP was released titled Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track and also opened her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. The year 2018 saw Ari Lennox guested on two tracks by EarthGang, on Nothing but the Best, as well as Bas, on Icarus. The 16th of July, 2018, Ari Lennox released the first single, Whipped Cream on her first album Shea Butter Baby with an accompanied music video on September 5. In November, she dropped two singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. Then on the 13th of November, two brand new singles, titled One and Pedigree. One and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby is a track she sang with Cole for Creed II's soundtrack on 16 November. It then came out as a stand-alone single in February of 2019 to coincide with her debut album. The song was followed by the music video which debuted that was released on February 20, 2019, and it surpassed the milestone of 3 million views on YouTube in one week. She supported the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour back in December of 2018.
